The real time PCR product range is being developed with Prodesse's proprietary technology enabling superior optimisation of primer and probe design, coupled with their extensive portfolio of patents and licences covering dyes, organisms and processes. The real time assays currently available are predominantly for the detection of respiratory pathogens and have been optimised for use on a variety of real time platforms.

Recently, Prodesse have developed ProGastro for the detection of toxigenic strains of Clostridium difficile by Real-Time PCR. This new high sensitivity test will improve current diagnostics for this important nosocomial pathogen.
