Plasma Protein Therapeutics

The Plasma Protein Therapeutics industry uses antigen specific assays to screen plasma donors during the manufacture of hyperimmune globulin products. The levels of specific antibodies in donor units selected for hyperimmune globulin production are considerably higher than those measured by clinical range assays.

Binding Site produces a range of enzyme immunoassays (EIA and turbidimetric) designed to measure the level of specific IgG antibodies produced in response to immunization.

Plasma Screening

The accurate measurement of specific antibodies is important during the manufacturing of therapeutic immunoglobulin and hyperimmune products. Plasma donors are screened for the presence of specific antibodies and donor units with high levels are selected as raw material for the production of therapeutic immunoglobulin products.

The kits below have been designed specifically for this purpose and have higher measuring ranges than the corresponding standard products and are calibrated to high titer reference material. The pack size is larger than standard products to allow for economical and consistent testing of high volumes of samples
