Vaccine Response

Failure of the immune system to produce the appropriate antibody response to infection, or the production of functionally inactive antibodies, may result in recurrent or persistent infections.
Measurement of antigen specific immunoglobulins, pre-immunisation and post-immunisation with an appropriate vaccine, aids in the identification of:

  • Selective IgG subclass deficiencies
  • Primary antibody deficiencies
  • Delayed maturation of the immune system

Assessment of both IgG subclass antibody concentrations and the immune response to both protein and polysaccharide vaccines during the investigation of possible primary immunodeficiency will assist in offering more comprehensive information to the clinician and may aid in the diagnosis of primary immunodeficiency (PID).

VaccZyme™ vaccine response ELISA kits use the 96 well plate format (12 x 8 well strips) and contain ready to use calibrators, controls and conjugated antisera. Standard protocols enable easy automation.
